September 6, 1813 British Forces and the American's camped around Ft. George continued to spar into the late summer of 1813. The British position was to drive the Americans into the fort itself, while the Americans continued to probe for opening in what was slowly becoming siege lines surrounding Ft. George. One such event was fought Ball' Farm where an American company attempted to capture supplies said to be stored at the farm. They withdrew quickly after discovering that the farm was occupied by British troops instead of being undefended.
