Hall vs. Hopkins We understand a that a duel was fought Saturday last, near Bladensburg, between Lt. Hall and Lt. Hopkins, both of Col. Carberry's regiment. At the second fire, Lt. Hopkins received a ball from his antagonist's pistol, in the breast, and expired immediately. Baltimore Patriot and Evening Advertiser, March 15, 1814.
