Photos from Battle of Ogdensburg - Ogdensburg, NY On Feb. 22, 1813, Lt. Col. Red George MacDonnell and the Glengarry Light Infantry Fencibles crossed the frozen St. Lawrence River to defeat their American rivals, the First U.S. Rifle Regiment.
The battle
begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday on Lighthouse Point, directly across the
St. Lawrence River from the Prescott waterfront. Fort Wellington set the
battles in motion by firing an 18- pounder from the ramparts
